As summer nears an end and cooler weather prevails, there will be lots of great Jeep meet and greets. And what Christian Jeep get-together is complete without a Jeep blessing prayer? It’s a way to bring people together and ask the Lord for His hand of protection on the Jeeps and all who ride inside them.

Why Bless a Jeep?

Driving a Jeep is a joy. With Jeep waves, ducks, and the wind in your hair, there really isn’t another vehicle around that can compare. But in many cases, Jeeps aren’t just everyday drivers. They are also off-road warriors. Thanks to the shorter wheelbase design, Jeeps are prepared for uneven terrain. Rocky surfaces and obstacles are no match for Jeeps, and they can take their drivers past some beautiful scenery along the way. But whether you’re driving through the city, down a sandy beach, past a mountain, or through a muddy trail, safety is essential.

Asking God to bless our Jeeps is a way to invite Him into our adventure. It reminds us exactly Who is in control of our safety, and it’s also a great way to encourage ourselves in the Lord. Whether it’s a gathering with friends or a local chapter of a Christian Jeep club, make time to line up the Jeeps and offer a simple blessing prayer.

Here’s a picture of our last Jeep Blessing at our April Meet-up. We met for coffee, lined up the Jeeps, prayed a Jeep blessing prayer, and had some time of fellowship.

Jeep Blessing Prayer

Precious Heavenly Father, please hear our prayers. 

Bless these vehicles and all who ride in them. Give Your angels charge over them to guard them and keep them free from all dangers. Go before them, guide them, and preserve them from all evil. From their going out to their coming home and from destination to destination, hold them with Your right hand of righteousness.

This we ask in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
