#DuckforJesus is a ministry that encourages Christians to use rubber ducks to share the love of Jesus. Whether it’s Jeeps, cruise ships, derbies, or special occasions, there are lots of opportunities to make people smile in this life — and the next.
Meet Angela
Hello! I’m Angela Georgantas. I’m a high school English teacher and Christian blogger from Arlington, Texas. The Lord started calling me to this ministry last summer; I just didn’t know it. The first time I ever heard about Jeep ducking was June of 2023, and I immediately wanted a Jeep. Then the practical part of my brain interrupted to remind me that my 2008 truck was just fine. Maybe I just wanted a duck. So, I bought a duck (lol!).
A few months later, my truck started having some electrical issues with flashing lights, so I started passively looking for a new vehicle. Suddenly, 2018 came into my mind, and I just couldn’t get away from it. Then I was only looking for 2018’s. Then 2018 Jeeps, then 2018 Wranglers in the color gray. Now I had a super specific order. I found one online and went to the test drive. The twenty-something salesman was backslidden with a praying mama. I witnessed to him, but I still wasn’t 100% sure God wanted me to spend His money on that expensive-to-me car. Maybe my testimony was the only reason I was there. But after prayer and confirmations, I knew it was the Lord and that it came with a ministry. I kept thinking “Gospel Ducks,” but then the Lord clarified #DuckforJesus.
#DuckforJesus was to be as much about reaching Christians to share the gospel as it was about sharing the gospel itself. Share on XUnqualified in the Best Possibly Way
My first and most immediate thought was that I was completely unqualified to bring such an important idea into a community that already had its share of hashtags. I had five years of experience with hearing His voice for blogging and almost that many with soft evangelism (snacks with tracts), but the marketing part was way out of my league. Then the Lord reminded me that my own shortcomings were the perfect match for His great strength and wisdom. I would have to depend on Him completely.
The day after I bought my Jeep, a Sister blogger contacted me. She had lost her job and was looking for income. I already knew that all the Jeep tags, both printable and printed, would be marketable. Plus, if people didn’t invest at least a little something, they wouldn’t follow through. I talked to her about a partnership, and she joined me to help with merchandise and the technical aspects of the website. Now we are on a grand adventure together for the glory of Jesus. Please pray for us that we hear from Him every step of the way and make this ministry just what He would have it to be.
Meet Stacey
Hi there, I’m Stacey Wells and I’m honored to work with Angela here at #DuckForJesus! My husband and I live in Greeneville, TN with our two youngest children and a gaggle of farm animals and pets.
Not long before settling here on this website, I had been working as a freelance copywriter for about eight years. Unfortunately, Artificial Intelligence, also known as AI, swept in giving our clients cheaper, faster content. The result was that I lost my job when our more than 700 clients made the mass exodus into AI. I was very concerned and set to praying heavily on what the Lord wanted me to do. I do have several options ongoing, but when Angela reached out and asked me to be a part of this team, I was thrilled to accept!
My writing experience goes back to elementary and high school, where I spent a great deal of time writing for school newspapers and other publications where my poems were published. As I entered college, my workload focused heavily on writing, communications, and research. But after that, I dove into marriage and family life, putting my writing dream on the back burner. I still wrote daily in journals and notebooks, and I greatly enjoyed pen pal correspondence with several friends. It would take more than 20 years for me to fulfill my dream of writing for a living, but it finally came!
New Opportunities
When I lost my job to the AI bandwagon effect, I thought my dream of writing would die. However, God intervened in such a way as to allow me to continue writing, and even focus on more meaningful content. While working here on #DuckForJesus, I am also publishing homeschool content on Amazon and working to stock my Etsy shop. Both have been dreams that were put on the back burner due to my work schedule. So, all in all, I consider this a fantastic testimony to the way Romans 8:28 works in our lives. All things DO work together for good. And though some seasons may look dreary for a moment, we can move forward in confidence with Jesus!
